Fun Walk Wag and Run Stuff

Hello! Happy Halloween! I just wanted to take a quick minute to thank everyone for participating in Walk Wag and Run this year. The weather didn’t exactly cooperate, but it was a fun time regardless. Thanks to your participation, we are confident that we will be able to give our beneficiaries most (if not all!) of the money they requested from us

Race Results: Race results can be found on our website. Just click on race results to open the page.

Post-Race Survey: If you participated in the Run Your Tail Off 5k/10k race, we are participating in the new Corona Insights Race Rating System, which will allow runners to provide feedback about races and eventually select races that match their interests and priorities, based on the opinions of other runners. If you take a few minutes to answer the survey at the following link, you can also have the chance to win a cash prize and participate in paid research regarding running. We appreciate your time to help us make the Walk Wag and Run an even better event in the future. The survey can be found here.

Doggie Flash Pack: If you participated in the Walk and Wag Dog Walk, you may have been curious about the film crew that was there. They were filming what is believed to be the first doggie flash pack to introduce Wellness products at PetSmart. You can find the video on YouTube here.

PICTURES!!

We had two wonderful photographers taking pictures the day of the event.

Suzanne Demaree Photographer is donating 20% of all online purchases back to Walk Wag and Run - these monies will go straight to our beneficiaries. Also, if you order before November 6th, you get a free 5x7! The photos can be found here. Melissa Preston of Mel Marie Photography also send us a bunch of pictures that she took of the event. You can browse these pictures on her website as well.

Saturday's Forecast

This is by far the best forecast I've seen yet, so I thought I'd pass it along: Just checked and its still not too bad. News now shows a 20 chance of rain until 6 am, then it moves to 50 percent until 1pm, then 60%. Precipitation potential is .07 inches until noon. Then .65 for the afternoon. So I'm being optimistic that if it does rain any in the morning, it'll just be a quick drizzle or two! :-)

Walk Wag and Run will take place Rain or Shine! In the event that we have to cancel due to lightening, we will post information on our blog, facebook and twitter pages. All monies raised will be donated to our beneficiaries and no refunds will be given

Beat the Rush!

Just a quick reminder for everyone: online registration for Walk Wag and Run closes tonight at midnight. You'll have an easier time on the day of the event if you register in advance - way less stressful! Also, if you're planning to run the 5k or 10k race, it's $5 more on race day that today - what a deal!

Get a Running Start - thanks East Dallas Times!

Walk, Wag, and Run comes up in about two weeks — Oct. 23 from 8 a.m.-noon., at Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake.

Earlier runner registration remains open, but just a reminder that online registration for Walk, Wag, and Run will close Oct. 16.

You will still be able to register for the 5K/10K races either at Run On! Dallas or Run On! Richardson From Oct. 20-22, or you will be able to register for all three events on the day of the event at a registration table.

With a new racecourse for the 5K/10k, a new dog walk agility course, and even a new 1K course for the kids’ race, we have lots to be excited about this year. We look forward to seeing you on Oct. 23.
